A fearless strategist who loves to laugh, Mike is a nerd who loves the art and the science of engineering with equal passion. The driving force behind our mission to “Inspire Innovative Thinking”, he is a bold yet caring leader that challenges the status quo. As a recent empty-nester, Mike now splits his time between the San Diego and Philadelphia offices, enjoys spending time with his wife, kids, and granddaughter and looks forward every year to his favorite event – the annual fishing trip with his four brothers.

Mike is the son of a hands-on custom home builder who became a skilled carpenter foreman. After college, he spent a few years working as a building contractor. With a desire to combine his education with his experience, Mike “hung up his hammer” and began his career as a structural engineer. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Widener University, and was formerly an adjunct professor.
